Tobias Kern, Dipl. Betriebswirt (International Business Administration), has been working in the automotive industry for more than 15 years. He has held various international positions with an automobile manufacturer, fleet management companies and consulting firms. As Co-founder of the international arm of the consulting company fleetcompetence Group, he holds the position of Managing Partner being in charge of the global consulting business. For the 1st Mobility GmbH Tobias Kern takes the role of Managing Director with the key focus on business development. He is also a lecturer in the university certificate course “Fleet and Mobility Management” at the FHS St. Gallen.
Balz Eggenberger, lic.oec.HSG (Risk Management & insurance), is Co-founder of the 1st Mobility GmbH. The founder of fleetcompetence has over 20 years of experience in the automotive sector, vehicle fleet and consulting. He is lecturer in the certificate course “Fleet and Mobility Management” which he developed together with the University of Applied Sciences St. Gallen and for whom he is the course leader in the starting phase has taken over. He is also the initiator of the “International Fleet Meeting Geneva”, the first international networking platform for fleet and mobility management that in the context of the Geneva International Motor show.
The lawyer Thilo v. Ulmenstein has been working for over 20 years in the field of fleet and mobility management. Since 2012 he is Managing Partner of the fleetcompetence Group as well as Co-founder of 1st Mobility GmbH. Before moving to Switzerland, he has been CEO of a major fleet management service provider in Germany. At the same time, he was involved in building an international alliance of European fleet management companies, which he led as president. From 2016 to 2018 Thilo von Ulmenstein was heading the German network organization: “Netzwerk intelligente Mobilität”. From 2015 to 2020 Thilo von Ulmenstein was leading the university-certified training “fleet and mobility management” in co-operation with the University of Applied Sciences St Gallen.
Winfried Kordel has been an independent entrepreneur and owner of the company eurotel for over 30 years. In addition to mobile telephony and telecommunications, the company has been focusing on telematics for decades. In 2019 he co-founded Fleetbay GmbH together with Michael Deuse, which specializes in the provision and development of high-quality software-controlled all-in-one solutions for process optimization in fleet and mobility management. Winfried Kordel is a man of down-to-earth attitude, always close to the customer and always with focus on the absolute satisfaction of his customers. To improve the existing, to think new and to work out what is missing, that is his ambition.
